How do you propagate zebra-plant?
The main propagation methods are division and cuttage. Divide it into ramets in the springtime during repotting and soil changing. Gently remove the whole plant from the flowerpot and gently shake it to separate the roots. Ensure every small ramet has complete roots, stem, and leaves, and plant the small ramet in a small and shallow flowerpot. Keep the environment warm and moist in the first weeks until the ramet starts to grow normally.
In summer, the plant can be propagated by cuttage. Take 2-3 young branches at the plant base as cuttings, and insert them into mixed soil composed of 1/2 peat + 1/2 river sand, vermiculite, or perlite. Keep the soil moist, and the roots will take in about 5 weeks. After that point, the ramets can be planted in flowerpots.
