Organic vs. Synthetic Fertilizers: What's Best for Siberian elm?
Both synthetic and organic fertilizers have pros and cons. Organic fertilizers, like compost and well-rotted manure, improve soil structure and increase microbial activity, promoting long-term soil health. They release nutrients slowly, reducing the risk of fertilizer burn. Synthetic fertilizers, on the other hand, provide nutrients in an immediately available form, which can be beneficial for quick nutrient correction. However, overuse can lead to soil imbalances and pollution. Ideally, a combination of both can be used to maximize benefits and minimize drawbacks.
