From Ground: Start by watering the amazon blue plant to dampen the soil, this makes removing the plant easier and less stressful for the roots. Carefully dig a wide circle around the amazon blue using a spade, ensuring you are far enough out not to cut through the root ball. Gently work the spade around and under the root ball, then lift amazon blue from the soil with as much root and soil intact as possible.
From Pot: Water amazon blue thoroughly before starting. Turn the pot sideways and gently tap the bottom and sides to loosen the soil. If necessary, you may need to roll the pot or press on its sides to encourage the root ball to slide out. Once loose, support the base of the plant with your hand, tip the pot, and ease amazon blue out gently.
From Seedling Tray: Water the seedlings well so the soil sticks to the roots. Use a garden trowel or a fork to gently pry the individual amazon blue seedlings out of the tray, being careful to keep the root ball intact. Hold the seedling by the leaves to avoid damaging the stem.
