From Ground: Water the cornflower properly to dampen the soil. Ensure not to waterlog it, else it could make the lifting process messy. Once watered, dig a wide trench around the plant using your shovel or spade, taking care that the plant's root ball stays intact and unharmed. Carefully work the spade under the root ball, leveraging it to lift the plant from the ground. Always lift from underneath the root ball to avoid damage to the plant.
From Pot: Begin by
watering the cornflower to loosen the soil. Then, turn the pot sideways, hold the plant gently by the stems or leaves, and tap the bottom of the pot to loosen it. Gently slide the plant out from the pot, taking care not to yank the plant as it could cause root damage.
From Seedling Tray: Again, ensure the cornflower is well-watered. Using a small tool or a spoon, carefully wedge the tool under the seedlings and lift them from the tray. Remember, never tug on the stem of cornflower as it could cause it to break.
