From Pot: Gently tap the sides of the pot to loosen the soil. Carefully tip the pot sideways and support the little robin plant while it slides out. Avoid pulling on the stem to prevent damage.
From Ground: Water the little robin plant thoroughly before starting. Use a trowel to dig a few inches away from the base, and slowly loosen the soil around the roots. Lift the root ball out of the ground with care, keeping as much soil attached to the roots as possible.
From Seedling Tray: Wet the soil slightly to make it pliable. Use a spoon or a dibber to lift the soil around the little robin seedling. Gently pull the seedling by the leaves, not the stem, to reduce the risk of damage.
