From Ground: First, water the dittany of crete to dampen the soil. Then, use your garden spade to dig carefully around the base of the plant ensuring the root ball remains intact. Carefully work the spade underneath the root ball to lift the plant from its original location.
From Pot: Water the dittany of crete in its pot and then carefully turn it sideways on your hand, making sure your fingers are spread to catch the falling soil. Gently pull the plant by the base, ensuring that it comes out with root ball and soil intact.
From Seedling Tray: Moisten the soil for your dittany of crete. Then, use a pencil or small tool to lift the root ball and seedling from the tray by pushing up from the drain hole. Take care not to damage the delicate roots or stem.
