Is Flowering almond toxic to humans?
There have been some reports claiming that flowering almond has toxic properties that can harm humans if ingested, either on purpose or by accident. The twigs, leaves, and seeds, which contain dangerous hydrogen cyanide, are typically mentioned as the toxic parts. Symptoms include shortness of breath, weakness, increased heart rate, and can sometimes lead to death. Some might accidentally ingest the seeds while mistaking them for edible foraged food.
