Tall cinquefoil
Tall cinquefoil (Drymocallis arguta) is native to North America. It blooms clusters of small flowers atop 30 to 100 cm-high stalks which are pollinated by hoverflies, bees, and some wasps. It's also known as prairie cinquefoil, and tiny sticky hairs on the plant's leaves have also lent it the name sticky cinquefoil.

Water: Tall cinquefoil prefers moist, well-drained soil, thriving with consistent weekly watering. It tolerates short dry periods and benefits from natural rainfall patterns typical of temperate regions, supporting its growth cycles and seasonal hydration needs.
Fertilize: To care for tall cinquefoil, apply BalancedNutritionFertilizers in early spring for growth and HighPhosphorusFertilizers during flowering for blooms. Fertilize biannually, adjust in fall, and water post-fertilization for absorption. Proper fertilization ensures a healthy and thriving tall cinquefoil.
Pruning: Pruning tall cinquefoil from early to late spring enhances growth and air circulation. Remove dead stems and thin older ones to rejuvenate the plant and support flowering. Regular pruning maintains an attractive shape and reduces disease risk, ensuring a vibrant and healthy plant.
Propagation: Tall cinquefoil propagation is best achieved through sowing fresh, viable seeds in well-draining soil that stays moist. Handle seedlings delicately to avoid damage, and thin them out after true leaves develop to promote optimal growth and prevent overcrowding.
