Lovegrasses are a large genus of widespread bunchgrasses with flat-leaved blades. These grasses are commonly used as livestock fodder and some are used as ornamental plants. Lovegrasses make a prime selection for groundcover in oceanic islands where other plant life is rare.
Water:
Lovegrasses thrives in diverse ecosystems with moderate drought tolerance. Water weekly to mimic natural precipitation. Indoors, it prefers high humidity for optimal health and lush foliage. This evergreen plant adapts well to indoor climates, maintaining its vigor throughout the year.
Propagation:
Lovegrasses propagation primarily involves seed sowing. Successful germination requires full sun, temperatures of 15–20°C, and well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Scatter seeds on the surface without covering, keep soil moist, and thin seedlings after developing true leaves to prevent overcrowding.
