Machilus thrives in conditions resembling its native habitat, requiring minimal watering every 2-3 weeks and demonstrating high drought tolerance. Suited for outdoor cultivation, machilus can withstand variable rain patterns typical in temperate climates.
Propagation:
Primary propagation methods for machilus include seed sowing and semi-hardwood cuttings, requiring warmth, humidity, and well-draining soil. Success factors involve seed treatment and bottom heat. The process includes seed collection, dormancy treatment, planting, maintaining light and moisture, and transplanting rooted cuttings.
