How do I get rid of wild tulip?
Although wild tulip does produce seed, it tends to spread more through its bulbs, with each "parent" bulb producing 3 to 4 new ones every growing season. To prevent this from happening, dig up the bulbs at the end of their growing season, storing them for the rest of the year instead of leaving them in the ground. Growing wild tulip plants in a container will also help to prevent them from spreading, while making it easier to keep them away from pets and kids. To remove tulips from your garden, you can either manually dig up the bulbs, making sure that you dig deep enough to reach all of the roots, or apply a herbicide to the plant's foliage. Depending on how persistent your bulbs are, you may need to do a little bit of both.
