How do you propagate peruvian zinnia?
Peruvian zinnia seeds are easy to harvest and sow. When the temperature goes up, sow the seeds outdoors, keep a proper distance between plants, and avoid planting them too densely. This helps increase air ventilation and reduce the chances of diseases.
If you intend to grow peruvian zinnia outside its normal growing season (for example, in the early spring to add colors to your garden), you can seed them indoors ahead of time and transplant the seedlings outside to the garden. Sow the seeds in peat moss or garden soil indoors first, and wait for the outdoor temperature to rise before transplanting the plants carefully with their roots wrapped in the surrounding soil.
You can also propagate peruvian zinnia by cuttage. Cuttage is usually performed in early or mid-summer. Cut 10 cm-long branches and put them into sterilized soil. They will grow roots in 5-7 days after cutting and can be potted in about a month.
