Full Sun vs Partial Shade
Copper iris, a striking and vibrant addition to any garden, thrives best when it gets plenty of direct sunlight. Ideally, this plant prefers full sun, which means it should receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day. Full sun helps the Copper iris to produce its most vibrant blooms and maintain healthy, robust growth. However, in extremely hot climates, providing some partial shade during the hottest part of the day can protect the plant from excessive heat and sun damage. Therefore, while full sun is ideal, partial shade can be beneficial in overly harsh conditions.
