From Ground: First, water the velvet groundsel plant to dampen the soil. Then, dig a wide trench around the plant using a shovel or spade, ensuring the plant's root ball remains intact. Carefully work the spade under the root ball to lift the plant from its original location.
From Pot: Begin by watering the velvet groundsel thoroughly to make the soil cohesive. Tilt the pot sideways and gently tap the sides and bottom to loosen the root ball. Grasp the base of the plant, ease it out, and guide the root ball out of the pot.
From Seedling Tray: Water the seedlings gently to ensure the soil is moist. Use a garden trowel or a dibbler to slowly pry the seedling of velvet groundsel out of the tray with minimal disturbance to the roots.
