Frequency and Amount of Water Needed
As a general rule of thumb, water your Common fig twice per week. However, the exact frequency and amount of water can vary based on factors like climate, season, and soil type. In sandy soils, which drain quickly, you may need to water more frequently, whereas clay soils, which retain moisture, might require less frequent watering. Aim to provide enough water so that the top 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) of soil is moist but not waterlogged. Adjust as necessary to accommodate the specific needs of your plant and environment.
