Noble yarrow
Also known as: Graceful yarrow
The perennial herb noble yarrow got its Latin name, Achillea nobilis, from the Greek hero, Achilles, who used the yarrow to treat his soldiers’ wounds. The yellow and creamy white flowers may resemble the common yarrow, but the two are different because the flower heads are smaller. The leaves of the noble yarrow are feathery and twice dissected in needle-like segments.

Water: Native to temperate regions, noble yarrow thrives in moderate moisture and requires weekly watering to maintain hydration without soil oversaturation. As an herbaceous perennial, it efficiently utilizes rainfall during its growing season, aligning with its natural habitat's water availability.
Fertilize: Noble yarrow requires balanced fertilizers for growth and high phosphorus for blooms, applied monthly at half-strength during the growing season. Reduce feeding during dormancy to avoid root burn. Novices should use gloves and follow label instructions, while experienced gardeners can adjust based on noble yarrow's needs.
Pruning: Noble yarrow is a herbaceous perennial featuring feathery leaves and white flower clusters. Prune in early to late spring to promote growth; remove dead stems for health. Selective pruning encourages robust development and a second blooming phase, enhancing overall vigor.
Propagation: Noble yarrow can be propagated through division by separating a mature plant into smaller sections, ensuring each has a healthy root piece. Replant each division at the same depth, and water generously to promote root establishment, ensuring high success rates and preservation of characteristics.
