Water:
Brazilian vervain thrives in tropical habitats with high humidity and regular rainfall. It requires a balanced watering schedule, ideally once weekly, and retains moisture in its evergreen leaves, making it resilient across different climates.
Fertilize:
For brazilian vervain, use a balanced fertilizer monthly during growth and bi-monthly in dormancy, following manufacturer's guidelines. Avoid over-fertilization to protect roots. Adjust schedules seasonally and water brazilian vervain after application for better nutrient absorption.
Pruning:
Brazilian vervain features tall stems with purple flowers and benefits from early spring to late winter pruning. Remove up to one-third of weak stems to enhance growth, air circulation, and overall shape, promoting continuous blooming and increasing its ornamental value.
Propagation:
Brazilian vervain can be propagated by sowing fresh seeds in moist, well-drained soil. Cover lightly and provide sunlight. Maintain humidity without waterlogging. Once seedlings have true leaves, transplant them gently to individual pots or garden locations, ensuring minimal root disturbance.
