Is white mulberry invasive?
White mulberry is a deciduous tree commonly found in woodlands, forest margins and on mountain slopes of the Far East. It prefers to grow in moist soils, under full sun or in slightly shaded areas. Its fruits are edible and usually eaten raw or cooked. Some sources list this plant as an invasive species, but later studies have determined that in most cases white mulberry was mistaken for other Morus species that display invasive behavior, like M. alba and M. kagayamae.
